At JR Zone we care about inclusivity. We have flat, level access to the whole ground floor, reserved disabled parking and a specially-adapted washroom with baby changing. Our café tables accommodate wheelchair users.
We welcome visitors with special needs or disabilities and offer a selection of activities for children and young adults through the government backed Short Breaks programme.
If you have any specific concerns or enquiries before making your visit, simply contact us for a friendly chat.
We recently undertook a detailed assessment of JR Zone from an occupational therapist, in conjunction with IW Council.
JR Zone is closed to the public from 6:00pm during evening sessions and operns to the public from 10:00am during morning sessions. There is no age restriction. We have different play zones and toys for smaller / less confident / less able children.
Provided under the government Short Breaks scheme in conjunction with Isle of Wight Council.
This activity is designed for children and young adults with learning difficulties, complex health needs or disabilities. If you are not sure about eligibility, contact Lesley Forde at IW Council on 01983 821999.Discuss Your Needs
